Will we soon be sending Insta voice messages?

 

For many years Instagram was just a platform for sharing photos. Recently, however, now it uses functions of other social networks, such as the story option of Snapchat or the chat facility as on Facebook or Whatsapp. This is how the app develops into a multifunction tool and messenger. Now another feature should be added: voice messages.

Hints at the introduction of the function can be found in the code of the Android app. Instagram mother Facebook has neither confirmed nor denied the plans.

The Project "Aloha" 

The Techcrunch.com news page sees it as an indication that Facebook has big plans in the speech recognition area. According to the Tech platform, the group has been working on a voice recognition function under the name "Aloha" for years. This could in future be used on Facebook itself and in the associated messenger, for example, to transcribe received voice messages.
